Course Registration and Withdrawal

Adding/Dropping of Courses

Adding and dropping of courses is allowed during the first two weeks of classes. Students can complete the add/drop procedures online via UIS.

Normally, only students who wish to add new course(s), drop the already enrolled course(s) and change section of the enrolled course(s) would need to add or drop course(s).

With a view to balancing the system loading, a timeslot will be assigned to students for doing course add/drop in the first few days of add/drop period. The assigned timeslot will be announced to students via email and UIS.

Adding a course with course instructors' approval

  1. Students should obtain course instructor's approval at the course offering department using Application for adding a course. Please bring the completed form to the Academic Registry or department office concerned and the approval information will be recorded in the SIS for students' follow up.

  2. Students can then login UIS and add the course(s) online by themselves. No further notification will be made.
