Local Special Visiting Students
Local applicants who do not intend to study for a degree but plan to take only certain courses for credit (not more than 11 units) may be considered on an individual basis. An undergraduate course normally takes two to three units. Eligible applicants have to meet the

Non-local Special Visiting Students
Non-local applicants (persons entering Hong Kong for the purpose of education with a student visa/entry permit issued by the Director of Immigration. *Students on work visas/under IANG and persons on dependent visas are considered as "non-local") who do not intend to study for a degree but plan to take only certain courses for credit (not more than 11 units) may be considered on an individual basis. An undergraduate course normally takes two to three units. Students from non-partner overseas institutions are also welcome to study at HKBU as fee-paying special visiting students.
