Higher Diploma Programmes Offered by Academy of Film

The Academy of Film of Hong Kong Baptist University was established in 2009. It provides opportunities for young people who are determined to develop their career in the film & TV creative media field to acquire related knowledge. The Academy offers five Higher Diploma programmes, on a 2-year full-time basis. They are as follows:
  1. Higher Diploma in Script Writing and Directing;
  2. Higher Diploma in Production Techniques (Cinematography, Lighting and Art Direction);
  3. Higher Diploma in Post-production (Editing and Sound Mixing); and
  4. Higher Diploma in Acting for Film and Television (Diploma/Higher Diploma).

The Professional Programme in Film (Higher Diploma) aims at providing “Whole-Person Education”  through professional practice. It emphasizes on professional training in film production with a focus on creativity, aesthetics and cultural literacy. This is reflected in the programme in general, and in the year-one curriculum, in particular.
