All full-time students with financial needs may apply for financial assistance in the form of grants, bursaries and loans.
Government Financial Assistance
The government
offers financial assistance in the form of non-means-tested loans, and
means-tested loans and / or grants to needy full-time degree-seeking students.
The beneficiaries are expected to repay their loans within a specified
period after graduation or leaving the University. A
briefing session will be conducted for all new UGC-funded students on August 3,
2011 (Wednesday) at 3:00 pm at the
Academic Community Hall. Important guidelines and schedule about the
application will be introduced in the briefing session.

University Bursaries, Loans and Emergency Fund
In addition to the availability of government grants and loans, the University
provides bursaries, loans and emergency funds to full-time UGC-funded students
with financial difficulties. Applications can be made to the
Office of Student Affairs during
August 29 to September 16, 2011.
Details of applications will be announced via
e-announcement and website by the end of August.
