Dear Freshmen,

On behalf of the Academic Registry, I would like to extend our warmest welcome to you for joining the Hong Kong Baptist University!

Hong Kong Baptist University has over 55 years of experience in providing broad-based and creativity-inspiring education. The University offers cutting-edge facilities and a conducive atmosphere for your learning with dedicated and caring staff who are ready to assist when needed.

Given these rich learning resources, you have every chance to be the master of your university learning in the coming 3 years. I urge you to be proactive, reach out to people, and expose yourselves to possibilities in order to make your university life fruitful and colourful. You will be developing not only your professional knowledge and skills but also be growing intellectually and spiritually.

You will soon advance to a new stage of your learning life. Participating in the Convocation to be held on 6 September 2011 symbolizes the start of this important page in your life.  I look forward to welcoming you in person at the Convocation and in the orientation activities for new students.
